Saving a bookmark to be used in other documetns
I read another thread about inserting a barcode, which was answered by Jay
Freedman. Very helpful indeed. It mentioned adding a PostNet barcode in one of two ways: 1. entering a field code such as BARCODE \U 12345 2. Using a Bookmark. My question is how to create a Bookmark and save it so that it can be used in all future documents as well. Thanks a lot, |

While you can save the _contents_ of a bookmark (in a separate document, or as an AutoText or AutoCorrect entry), the bookmark itself -- the indication of where it starts and where it stops -- is specific to the document where you created it. When you go to another document, you have to create a new bookmark there. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

A bookmark refers to a specific location in a specific document. It has no meaning with reference to another document. -- Peter Aitken Author, MS Word for Medical and Technical Writers www.tech-word.com |
