Page Numbering with non-field text
I want to add text to my page numbers that shows up in my TOC using Word 2007.
For instance, in my Glossary section, I want to number the pages G-1... How do I force the "G-" to show up in the TOC? |

Page Numbering with non-field text
GunnBugg was telling us:
GunnBugg nous racontait que : I want to add text to my page numbers that shows up in my TOC using Word 2007. For instance, in my Glossary section, I want to number the pages G-1... How do I force the "G-" to show up in the TOC? As far as I know, you will have to do it manually... It might be easier to assign a bookmarks (Select the whole Glossary section, then Insert Bookmark...) to the Glossary section, build a TOC assigned to that bookmark (Using the \b switch in the TOC field) and add a title above that section in the TOC. Of course, you will have to assign a bookmark though the entire document as well. Something like Regular Content A....1 B....3 .. .. Z.....12 Glossary: A....1 B....2 etc. Or, instead of using bookmarks, make sure you use distinct styles in the Glossary, and build the second TOC based on those styles. This might be easier, depending in how your document is set up. -- ______________________________ Jean-Guy Marcil Montreal, Canada |
