Default line for a date and signature at the bottom of a memo

I am typing a memo and need to put a line for a signature and date at the
bottom. I cannot get the space between the signature line and date line.

What have you tried?

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

Version of Word?

Often I will use a line break (Shift-Enter) to type something immediately
under an underscore for a signature or date.
