I have a document with the word replace used MANY times.
Can I change that word to repare without having to change it MANY times?

Yes but the FIRST thing you need to do is spell it correctly. It's repair
unless you want something pared (peeled) again.

Edit - Replace

Yes. Use Find and Replace to globally find and replace the word.
Ctrl+F (find)
In the Find what box type replace
In the Replace box type repair
Select Replace all.

On the Edit menu, click Replace to open a dialog. In that dialog, type
the word replace in the "Find what" box. Type the word repair (note
the correct spelling) in the "Replace with" box. Click the Replace All
button.

You can use Find and Replace for this, but are you sure you want "repare"
and not "repair"?

This whole thread regarding misspelled words, makes one wonder what these
folks documents look like? Must be the biggest collection of red squiggly
lines ever assembled!

Flip on the non-printing characters and that would be the clincher.
