Default Why won't first letter of first word of each bulleted list capital

When I use bullets Word used to automatically capitalize the first letter of
the first word of each entry. Now for some strange reason, if I use numerals
like 1, 2, 3 etc. the first letter of the first word WON'T capitalize, but if
I use icon bullets or a, b, c or A, B, C or even I, II, III or i, ii, iii -
all of those DO automatically capitalize the first letter of the first word
of each entry. Anyone got a clue what's going on?????

See €śWord does not capitalize the first letter of a sentence€ť at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291538. This is by design; the design may be
questionable, but it's intentional.
