I've notice a problem with headers and footers going invisible on two
different machines at two different companies. It's as though the header
size gets bumped to 0. All I have to do is View Header/Footer and they come
back.

Any ideas what settings have triggered this quirky behavior?

The version is Word 2003, SP2.

Easily corrected by clicking at the top edge of the 'page', or go to Tools |
Options and on the View tab check White space between pages.
