The tab key on all keyboards I have seen show TWO arrows, one to the right
and the other to the left. However, I am only able to indent or move to the
right with the tab key. Is there any way I can use the tab key both right and
left?

Shift+Tab goes backward in certain circumstances: in tables, in dialog
boxes, and when tabs are used to indent.
