message:
Microsoft Office Word
Word is unable to proceed. More than one file necessary to do TC/SC

Would you please advise how to fix this? I am using MS Office 2007.

Hi Crystal,

Was this an upgrade over a previous version? This one goes back to at least Office 2000 and has usually been something related to
not having all of the needed multilingual pack/proofing tools installed.

Do you get the same problem if you try to use the online Translation tools through the Research pane (Review=Proofing=Translate) ?

Hi Bob

the online Translation tools works.

i install my office 2007 over a trial version (without uninstall the trial
version). so will this be the reason?

Hi Crtystal,

There is a problem with the Word 2007 Chinese Translation group showing up in the Review tab of the Ribbon. If you open Excel 2007
do you have the Chinese Translation group showing there?

If you have a CD/DVD retail version of Office 2007 then uninstalling the trial version, restarting the PC then installing the retail
version is generally considered to be a better practice.

If you had a prior version of Office on the computer then the prior version add-in could be causing the error message you're seeing,
or the Asian language support files for Windows through 'Regional settings' in the control panel might not be installed.

What Add-ins are listed in Word 2007 (and Excel 2007) under
Office Button=Options=Add-ins
in each app.
