Word 2003 = a small problem/question . . .
How do I keep "existing type" from being overwritten by my "current" typing
(i.e. happens when a document is open) |

Word 2003 = a small problem/question . . .
Click on the OVR (Overtype) button on the bottom status Bar (REC TRK EXT
OVR) or from the Tools menu, select Options and go to the Edit tab and uncheck the Overtype mode button (It does the same thing). -- Hope this helps. Press the Insert key once to get out of Overtype mode.
