Sorting a List A-Z
You can't. You'll have to convert the table to text, sort it, then convert
it back to a two-column table. -- Suzanne S. Sorting a List A-Z
G'Day Wordless,
1. When you sort a Table, the elements in each row stay together, regardless of the number of columns. 2. With the insertion point in the Table; TableSort. The dialog box allows you to select up to 3 columns (in any order) on which to do the sort. 3. Your question SEEMS to suggest a degree of confusion - experiment with a Table in an empty Doc: y 5 p sorted on col-1 becomes x 3 t x 3 t y 5 p z 4 o z 4 o sorted on col-2 becomes x 3 t z 4 o y 5 p sorted on col-3 becomes z 4 o y 5 p x 3 t The rows stay intact. -- Regards, Pat Garard Melbourne, Australia _______________________ "Wordless" wrote in message ...
