Default Calculating form fields in Word.

I am making a template, and I can get a calculation to work once. Anytime
after that I have to unlock my template, double click on the calculation
field, open and close that field then it will work. What a hassle! Any
ideas?

If you check the box for "Calculate on exit" in each of the form fields
contributing to the calculation, it should update automatically.
