When I inserted the merge field in the main doc they show up with a grey back
ground. The mail merge works great but prints with the grey background. How do I get rid of the background color? Thanks Stan |

Hi ?B?U3RhbmJ5?=,
When I inserted the merge field in the main doc they show up with a grey back ground. The mail merge works great but prints with the grey background. How do I get rid of the background color? I'd expect this with FORM fields, but not merge fields? Are you certain you don't mean form fields? You can turn off the shading for form fields using the "a" button on the Forms toolbar. If you mean merge fields, as in mail merge, then which version of Word are you using?
