Default Auto Format

Please note I am dumb as dirt about word usage.
How do I take back control of 247 pages in my document from Auto Format? I
need to make changes to my written book and can not. I'm sure I messed up
some how in the border areas but have no idea how. I have already unchecked
everything in the Auto Format box.

To get good answers (especially for novices), you'll need to explain
exactly what the problem is with your document, and what you want it to
look like instead. And what type of changes you want to make, and what
happens when you try to make them. AutoFormat may not be related at
all, so you may want to start a new post.
