I am trying to create a Master Document in Word 2007 and it doesnt seem
capable of doing it (as easily as in 2003). 'Help' has no reference to 'Master Document'. Any suggestions?? |

Word 2007 Master Documents
I don't use Word 2007, but my understanding is that this function has not
been changed for the better. You would be better creating a single large document. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Tomo wrote: Graham Still you find this sort of problem in Word 2007 as well? Tomo |

Word 2007 Master Documents
Hi ?B?TWl0Y2ggQnJhZGxleQ==?=,
I am trying to create a Master Document in Word 2007 and it doesnt seem capable of doing it (as easily as in 2003). 'Help' has no reference to 'Master Document'. It's basically in the same place, just looks a bit different. Switch to the Outline view; the "Outlining" tab should appear. Click the "Show Document" button in the "Master Document" group to display the buttons for working with a Master document. All the same buttons are there, with some different captions. But the information in the tooltips is quite good as to what each button does. Word 2007 Master Documents
Hi Tomo,
MS had said that they didn't focus on this area in Word 2007. There may be some increased stability as a result from other internal changes, but it would be more situational. The feature is still one that seems to need too many 'notes to self' to keep with you when working on them to be reliable except in 'publish when done writing' scenarios perhaps. =========== "Tomo" wrote in message news Graham Still you find this sort of problem in Word 2007 as well?
