When I am typing a document in Word sometimes the symbols onmy keyboard give
a different result, e.g. / becomes - * becomes (, ( becomes) etc. What do I do wrong. |

It sounds as though you have two different keyboard layouts defined in
Windows Regional settings and you are switching between them.
