Default How do I change settings to delete words without confirmation?

I'm new to Word. Today, when trying to delete a blocked group of words, it
is asking me to confirm whether I want to delete or not. Is this a setting
change and if so, where?

Tools Options general uncheck the two Word Perefct options.
