Default Equation editor problem

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. With in Office XP I use sticky
keys but have discovered that when I use Equation Editor sticky keys doesnt
work properly. Equation Editor uses different keyboard short cuts to Word but
Sticky Keys doesnt pick these up and continues to use the Word short cuts.
Is there anyway of getting Sticky Keys to work properly with Equation Editor?
