Default documents have {page} instead of the page# fix? other formatting i

I am using Word 2003. Hi, I have had this problem in the past and can't get
it undone. I think it is a formatting issue- instead of the page number it
shows {page} when I insert the date, it shows {date,mo, year}. I can't seem
to get back to the normal view, any help would be greatly appreciated. Amy

Press Alt+F9, or, on the View tab of Tools | Options, clear the check box
for "Field codes."

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck the boxes for
"All", "Hidden text", and "Field codes" | Print tab | uncheck the
"Hidden text" and "Field codes" boxes | OK.
