Default Colums Disapear when I save as a Web Page, but I want Colums.

I am creating a document with Word 2003 that will be used as an intereactive
training guide and reference. The table of contents, which has two colums,
was created in normal and print views. When I saved the document as as
webpage, I lost all of the colums and everything became left justified.

How can I keep the colums and formatting if I want to save as html?
