Word freezes once whenever I turn the computer on
Sometimes when I try to open a Word 2003 document (from Office XP pro), Word
will get as far as opening, then it will freeze and become non-responsive. If I ctl+alt+del I see multiple versions of Microsoft Word running. I can only exit by doing the whole "close window", "End Now", "Don't Send Error Report" process. I have tried removing corrupt templates and data keys and that has not helped. Here's the funny thing, this only happens the first time I try to open word after I turn on my computer. After I do this once, Word functions perfectly until I have to turn off my computer (it's a laptop so I have to turn it off sometime) and then when I turn it back on it's the same thing. I have no more ideas. This may happen with other Office programs too, but I don't tend to use them as often. If someone could please help I would greatly appreciate it. |
