Default Adding columns

I have a table from someone else's document with two columns. I'm trying to
add a column to the right. When I move the cursor outside the last column
and go to tables, insert, column to the right, it adds it to the left. Help,
I have a time crunch! V

Hi ?B?VkFN?=,

I have a table from someone else's document with two columns. I'm trying to
add a column to the right. When I move the cursor outside the last column
and go to tables, insert, column to the right, it adds it to the left. Help,
I have a time crunch!

What I usually do is
- display the non-printing characters (now you see a little "sun" at the end
of each cell, and at the end of each row)
- very carefully position the mouse over the column of "suns" at the end of
the table (right edge) The mouse pointer will look the same as when you're over
a column
- click to select
- insert a column (to the left)

I should think that selecting the rightmost column (that is, Column 2) and
adding a column to the right would work as well.
