Hi,

Can someone tell me if Word 2007 has document templates as previous
versions. If so, how do I get there. Previous versions I when to File, New
and the template dialog appeared. Can I still do this in Word 07.

Yes, by clicking on Office Button | New. The Office Button is the big
round thing at the upper left corner of the Word window.

Frank, you can also add the "New Document or Template" button to your Quick
Access Toolbar.

Thank you Frances and Gr8Auntieokie: I've been playing with this all day and
you got me there quickly. Now if I can figure how to put on on the quick
access toolbar.

(I think you meant, "how to put IT [the "new document and template" button]
on the quick access toolbar.")

(1) Right-click on the Quick Access Toolbar ("QAT," which is what we call it
at our office, as opposed to the _mouse_ in your hand) and select Customize
Quick Access Toolbar.
(2) Change "Choose commands from" (on the left) to "All Commands."
(3) In the list of commands (left window), find and click once on "New
Document or Template...."
(4) Click once on the Add button in the middle.
(5) If you want to move the command to a different position on the QAT than
dead last, click on it in the right window, then click on the Move Up or Move
Down buttons until it's where you want it.
(6) Then click OK.

I always recommend that you close Word and save the changes to your
Normal.dotm right then. (In our office we have Word set up to ask if we want
to "save the changes to the global template, Normal.dotm" whenever we close
Word.)

And that's all there is to it.

Hi,

I have a similar problem, let say I have two word templates, they are
template A and template B, I apply a special style and some defined static
contents such as a document's cover to both of templates and then let say I
start building my document where at the beginning I use template A, and then
after giving quite a lot of content into document for some time, I start
thinking to change my document template to template B, but on that time, how
can I do this ?

Is there anyone can give me shed of light to me ?

Attaching a different template won't change the content or layout. You need
to create a new document based on template B and insert the existing
document into it.
