How do I create the style described above viz. 1.1 Heading level 2 (1) First para (2) Second para. 1.2 Heading level 2 (1) Another first para 2 Heading level 1 (1) And another first para (2) Another second para etc... |

Numbered para style that restarts numbers after headings
Sorry to have bothered you; I have now got it to work. I think the difficulty
was caused by trying to customize the numbering after accessing the customize dialog through the style of level 2, rather than the style of level 1. (Not straightforward is it!)
