Hyperlinks disappear when word doc viewed on intranet
There is a manual on the intranet where I work. The Table of Contents (ToC)
and each chaptor is a seperate word document with all files contained in the same folder. Each chaptor is broken down into multiple sections. Hyperlinks are used in the ToC to link to sections within each chaptor, using a bookmark to designate this section. Now when viewing the original documents on my own computer using Word 2003, the links work. I can click on section 2.12 in the ToC and the file for chaptor 2 will open up with my cursor at section 2.12. However, when I or anyone else click a link in the ToC on the intranet, the correct chapter opens, but the cursor is stationed at the beginning or top of that file, not at the section I clicked on. Why does this happen when clicking on the file online? |
