Stop making MS Word so complicated
Your products are so complicated and frustrating - they reduce my job
satisfaction. There are so many function/options in MS Word XP 2003 - I have to take a training class to use word even though I have used the product every day for 10 years. I don't need 5 different views. I just want to compose a document. I can't figure out how to view/print without all the edit boxes. Every document I open has different set up buttons displayed. Baffling. Im actively seraching for a simple document editor to replace this. |

I suspect that if people stopped asking for changes, Microsoft would not be
addings so much. There are things you can do to tame Word but it never was simple and never will be simple; it is a complex program. I looks like you are letting it run dynamic menus on you. BTW, this forum is for user support - by other users. Microsoft does not monitor your messages. However, if you would like help making it work better for you, ask a specific question and someone will lend a hand. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Charles,
FYI, on the Microsoft community site, one of the options for messages is "Suggestion for Microsoft". Have a great day! You could try StarOffice or the open source free equivalent, OpenOfficeOrg,
but it tries to keep up with Word so it's fairly complicated as well. On the bright side, it stores text as XML so if all goes horribly wrong, at least you can still get at your words. http://www.openoffice.org "Gordo365" wrote: Your products are so complicated and frustrating - they reduce my job satisfaction.
