I cannot enable fast searching in Word
I click the enable indexing service button in the basic search /search
options, but the change doesn't take. I've tried reinstalling indexing from the xppro install disk, which it says it does, but shows no disk space taken up. Also viewed indexing in administrative tools. Says it starts automatically and is running. The folders I am looking in are selected. The whole point of this for me is to try to find files that have footnotes--which seems to be the "number of notes" built-in property, but I can't verify that anywhere. I thought indexing might ensure that the more obscure built-in properties could be included in a search. |
