Default How to Close the Auto-active IME in Word 2007 Beta?

Hi everybody! I installed Office 2007 beta. When I start Word 2007, it opens
an empty document and active the Chinese IME (Input Method Editor)
automatically. I use Windows XP Professional SP2 (Simplified Chinese).

My question is, how can i find the option that can tell Word not to
auto-active IME when started?

Hi pChao,

Take a look under MS Office Button[file]=Word Options=Advanced in the 'Editing' options to see if the 'legacy IME' choices are
active.

Thanks! I found the Editing Options, but didn't find 'legacy IME'... Would
you please tell me again? In Editing Options I only have:

Typing replaces selected text;
When selecting, automatically select entire word;
Allow text to be dragged and dropped;
Use CTRL-Click to follow hyperlink;
Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes;
Use smart paragraph selection;
Use smart cursoring;
Use the Insert key to control overtype mode;
Prompt to update style;
Enable Click and Type;
Use Normal style for bulleted or numbered lists;
Keep track of formatting;
Asian fonts also apply to Latin text;
Automatically switch keyboard to match language of surrounding text;
IME trueinline

Thanks again in advance. :-)
