Using tables in Word 2003, how do you allow some cells to expand with the
text or vice versa, how do you prevent some cells from expanding with the
text?

Set a fixed height for the relevant table row(s): On the Table menu, click
Table Properties. Click the Row tab. Check "Specify height," type the
desired value and, for "Row height is," choose "Exactly." Click OK.

And for rows that *should* expand, clear the option, or choose the "At
least" option instead.
