Default Unable to see Excel embedded link in word doc

Since upgrading to Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1) I cannot see the excel embedded
linked objects in a word document. The machine that created the Word doc with
the excel object and where the excel objects within word are visible runs
Word 9.0.27something.

I tried selecting the objects individually and using Worksheet Object Edit
or Open and I tried converting the object and repairing the object when
prompted by Word error msgs but no luck.

Please help.

Hi ?B?TWV0YVN5c3RlbXM=?=,

Since upgrading to Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1) I cannot see the excel embedded
linked objects in a word document. The machine that created the Word doc with
the excel object and where the excel objects within word are visible runs
Word 9.0.27something.

You mean it was created with Word 2000, as well? Or do you mean something else
(there is no version of Word 9.0.27 although it could conceivably be a BUILD
number for Word 2000)?

I tried selecting the objects individually and using Worksheet Object Edit
or Open and I tried converting the object and repairing the object when
prompted by Word error msgs but no luck.

You don't describe exactly what happened when you tried these things. Nor do you
give us the exact text of the error message. Without that information, it's not
really possible to help you.

My best guess is that you either have a problem with damaged document
structures, or with some software running on your machine that's interfering
with OLE-calls. Does this happen with other documents, or only this one?
