Default how to check a word doc is having merged cells?

i am having a difficulty in finding whether a word doc is having mergerd
cells or not when i open it. is there a way to find it?

If the table has borders or cell gridlines displayed (TableShow
Gridlines), you should be able to tell by looking at the table.
If you are looking for a way to figure this out via a macro, I'd
suggest that you ask the question in a VBA newsgroup.
