merging from excel to word
I am merging from excel to word using mail merge but one of the fields
comes back as 0 if the number has letters . example 4120 comes in as 4120 but if I put as 4120C it comes in at 0 aslo i have one that is .0075 and it comes in at 7.49999999997e-3 what is up with that. the field beside it is .023 and it works fine!!! HELP!!!! |

merging from excel to word
In this case your best bet is probably to change the way Word connects to
Excel - in Word, check Tools|Options|General|"Confirm conversions at open", then go through through the process of connecting to Excel again and choose the "DDE" option when it is offered. i tried that and nothing happens

You should see an extra dialog box after you have selected the .xls file.
(Everyone else does, as far as I know!)
