Default hyperlinks created in word are not clickable in Acrobat Reader

Have made a hyperlink to a web site in Word and then created a pdf with
Acrobat destiller. The link is not clickable in Acrobat Reader. Anyone?

Have you set the Adobe Acrobat options to include active hyperlinks?

Create the PDF from Word using the Acrobat add-in which should preserve the
links (assuming the link option is set in the add-in conversion settings).

In that case I hesitate to guess what the problem might be. I don't have
reader installed here, but I do have Acrobat 8 and that retains workable
hyperlinks to web pages both with and without display texts when selected
from the Adobe plug-in from Word.

Just for fun I also created a sample PDF with PrimoPDF which creates
workable links provided they don't have display texts that are not the links
themselves.

I also used Word 2007 and the Microsoft PDF plug-in. That too creates
workable hyperlinks with or without display texts, provided you set the ISO
19005-1 compliance check box.

Try Word tools options general web options files uncheck 'update
links on save'.

If that doesn't fix it, it would appear to be an Acrobat issue. Ask in the
Adobe forum.
