Word Office 2003
Hello,
Let me know what happens in Word Safe and /a. (Steps for Word Safe and /a is given below) Step1: Check in WinWord /a mode: [Note: When you use the /a switch to start Word, the switch prevents add-ins and global templates from being loaded automatically. The /a switch also locks the setting files; that is, the setting files cannot be read or modified when you use this switch.] 1. Close all the applications running on your computer (close Outlook also) 2. Use key combination "Windows Key + R" to get Run prompt, type winword /a (note: there is a space between winword and /a) 3. Press Enter 4. This will open a blank word document. 5. Does the issue persist? If yes, Please go to Step 3 & 4, Else go to Step 2 Step2: Check in WinWord /safe mode: 1. Close all the applications running on your computer (close Outlook also) 2. Use key combination "Windows Key + R" to get Run prompt, type winword /safe (note: there is a space between winword and /safe) 3. Press Enter 4. Click File 5. Click New 6. Does the issue persist? Word Office 2003
I had that happen after a batch of MS patches. I can't remember if it
cleared up after a few reboots, or maybe I retrieved normal.dot from an earlier back-up or renamed it to force a new version; but it wasn't hard to make go away. "Panish Desai" wrote in message ...
