Creation dates
Yes, you'll find this in File | Properties, and you can insert it in the
document as a CreateDate field; see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/DateFields.htm -- Suzanne S. What I need is to know the date a Word document was created. I don't wish to
date stamp one. "Suzanne S. The first answer I gave was the answer to your question. The creation date
can be found on the General tab of File | Properties. -- Suzanne S. Creation dates
However the dates associated with a Word document can be edited so while
this may provide a guide, it is not foolproof and would not stand up in court as evidence. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Suzanne S.
