Global document formatting
Is there anyway to select multiple documents in Windows Explorer or within
Microsoft Word and do a "global" formating. For example, I want to mark multiple documents with "draft" in the background and want to avoid having to open up each individual document to do so. Another example. Entering page numbers on multiple documents without having to open up each individual document; or the same for fonts, margins, etc...??? |

No, there is no way, thank goodness.
You can use macros to make changes to all documents in a folder. http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm should get you started. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. In the future you should create a template with all the above-mentioned
things. Then just create a document based on the template and start typing away!
