How do I find an emdash using wildcards?
I have documents that contain long dashes, but I'm having trouble identifying
a wildcard search that I can use in a macro to find and replace them. The typical ^= and ^+ don't seem to find them, and I've also tried using a variety of ANSI/ASCII character codes that don't seem to find them either. When I attempt to cut and paste the dashes into my VB editor, they come out as a question mark. Any ideas? |

You should be able to use ^0150 and ^0151 for en and em dashes,
respectively. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
