Default track changes time stamp

For Word 2007
I would like to set track changes so that if I go back to make corrections
to a previously corrected text, both revisions will be time stamped. I would
like to be able to see all corrections made to the text and the order in
which they were made, not merely the "final product" of all the changes.

Word doesn't track revisions to your own revisions. I can see how this would
be helpful in some cases but in order for Word to do what you want it would
need to track every single change you make. Think about correcting your
spelling or backspacing to change a word or phrase. That would be a LOT of
revisions. (I'm glad it doesn't work like this - everyone would see what a
horrible typist I am, or at times how I end up typing every other word
because my fingers aren't keeping up with my brain, and how I rely on the
proofing tools correct those typing errors. grin)

The best way (and really the only way) to accomplish this is to change your
User Name so each set of revisions will be tracked. This may or may not work
for you depending on when you are making the revisions. If it's immediately
after you revise the content then it probably won't. But if you are opening
the file later and reviewing your revisions then it could work.
