Want to create columns - instructions a Switch to print view. Select
text. On standard toolbar, click on columns (shows a picture of multiple
horizontal lines). Can't find the word "columns" or a picture like that on
the toolbar (or any dropdowns).

Also, can't find answer in my MS Word for Dummies book.

Then use the Format | Columns dialog. If you don't have a Columns button on
your toolbar (and it's on the Formatting, not the Standard toolbar), you can
add it, but more likely you're not seeing it because you have adaptive menus
enabled (which affects toolbars as well).
