i dont want to retype a document how can i scan and add more text
-- anita e I am running XP Pro, Iam trying to scan a document and then I want to add some more text. Help please if it's possible,thanks. |

This is called optical character recognition (OCR). When you scan, you get a
picture of a page. That picture may have something that looks like words in it. OCR software looks at the picture and tries to guess what the word is. Some guesses are better than others. The software has become much better but it is rare that a long document that goes through OCR will come through the other end perfect. Scanners usually come with some OCR software.
