Why do my chosen style of bullet points change style when my document is
opened up / emailed to another PC and vice versa? We all have the same
version of Word (2003)?

The default bullet choice is stored in the Registry of a given machine. If
you want the bullets not to change, you need to firmly link them to a style
in the Numbering dialog. See
