You can insert a table in the header and make the table fill the entire page.
You will then be able to type text in the main body of the document while the table remains in the background. Horizontal table borders will make up the lines and the table will repeat on all pages. The procedu Select View Header and Footer. While the insertion point is the header, do the following: 1. Insert a text box. Adjust its size to fit the page and remove the border (via Format Text Box Colors and Lines tab). 2. In the text box, create a 1-column table with 2 rows. Adjust the table via Table Table Properties as follows: 3. Remove the cell margins (Table tab Options). 4. Adjust the row height to the spacing you want between the lines (Row tab). 5. Remove the left and right border. Make sure the table has a top and bottom border and a border between the cells (Table tab Borders and Shading). Close Table Properties. 6. While the insertion marker is in the last table cell, press the Tab key to add rows until the table fills the page. 7. Close the header/footer area. You can now type text in the document. Adjust the line spacing so that it fits the table rows (Format Paragraph Indents and Spacing tab). -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "Terry" wrote: Is there any way I can have Word add lines at background, so the whole document would look like a note book page. |
