Default List of Tables and List of Figures

I have created a list of tables and a list of figures for my document. After
I added new tables and figures in the document, the list of tables/figures
does not update. I tried selecting the list and pressing F9, but it does not
work. I created these new tables/figures exactly as I did the other
tables/figures in the document. Please help! Thanks!

Default List of Tables and List of Figures

Kelly Jo:

I suggest you troubleshoot the problem yourself. Toggle your view to see the
field codes for your list of tables or figures by pressing Alt +F9. Read the
online help for the TOC field code and determine what the switches mean.

(If the list isn't a field, it won't update.)

For example, if your TOC field has \c "Figure" that means the TOC will
create a list of items captioned with a field that looks like "SEQ Figure."
If the items you just added don't have that type of caption number, they
won't appear in the list. Were they captioned correctly?
