Default How to remove a path to load a file I've moved under the File menu

I opened the same Word file once from the desktop and once from a folder I
moved it to. Now I don't seem to be able to delete the old path for opening
the file on the desktop, which appears under the File menu along with the
correct path of the folder where the file is currently.
I'm using Office 2003 S&T version.
Thanks
