Multiple instances of Word
I swear I thought there was a setting in the program that would open
multiple Word files in one instance of the MSWord instead of opening multiple copies of the program. However, I can't find the setting I am looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Using Office XP. Ann |

Uncheck it to get multiple documents in one main window. BTW, the other view (when the setting is checked) doesn't create multiple copies of the program -- there's only one copy of winword.exe running -- but each document is give the full set of menus and toolbars, and each appears as a separate button on the taskbar. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |
