In Word 2007, how do I work within a form created in Word 2003?
I have a form that was created in Word 2003 - I'm new to Word 2007, and am
unable to work within the form created in 03 version. In Word 03, you had a forms toolbar to work with - Word 07, does not, or I can't find it - anyone experience the same issue? Any help - much appreciated. |

First go to Office button Word Options Popular and check the option to
show the Developer tab in the ribbon. On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, you'll find a button for Legacy Controls. Click that to see the equivalent of the old Forms toolbar. The Lock icon isn't there, but you can add it to the Quick Access Toolbar by looking in the All Commands list in the Customize dialog. Otherwise, you can use the Protect Document button on the Developer tab, which leads to the task pane. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
