I am using Word 2003. When I want to open a new document with File New, the
dialogue box always shows the Preview icons of my templates. I always click on the File option so is it possible to have it show this option by default, please? |

By default, File Open should open at the path for documents as defined in
Tools, Options, File Locations tab, Documents. There shouldn't be any templates in My Documents. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "janey" wrote in message ... I am using Word 2003. Now I follow you. The File, New dialog is set as you see it.

Sorry for the delay in replying - I eventually found what I was looking for
and recorded a macro: SendKeys "%2" Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show Now I get the view I want. Thanks. "Terry Farrell" wrote in message ... Now I follow you. The File, New dialog is set as you see it.
