Default dotted page break lines?

I have a poetry document which is now 10 pages long. All of a sudden, dotted
lines began showing up between, and in the middle of, my poem verses. I
can't click on them, or remove them! I now have five of them seperating my
verses!!! What do I do to get them out of my document?

Page breaks are there for a reason. See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/BlankPage.htm for an explanation of some
of the factors that can cause page breaks, including paragraph formatting.
