Hi ?B?QVA=?=,

Can anyone help with a problem I have with MS Word 2003.

I've never seen this, nor heard of it, but I get the impression some kind of
addin may be interfering. If you hold Ctrl while starting Word, to force safe
mode, do you see anything different?

If I hold down the ctrl key Word starts up ok.

I have to say that I am not aware of applying any add in, the problem seemed
to just appear from nowhere.

OK, there is something sticking its finger into the pei when Word starts up. The
trick is going to be figuring WHAT it is.

1. Look in Tools/Templates and Addins. Is there anything in the list with the
checkbox activated?

2. Drag the COM-Addins entry from Tools/Customize/Commands - Category: Tools - to
your Tools menu. (I alwys drop it right next to Templates and Addins). Close the
Customize dialog box. Run Tools/COM Addins. Is there anything in that list?

3. Rename the Normal.dot template to NormalOLD.dot. Start Word. Is the problem
still there?
