I have somehow managed to disable the ability to customize my menu bar in
Word -- I cannot add or remove buttons to it. The custom buttons I have on
the menu bar continue to function but I just cannot change the toolbar in any
way. It appears that this problem is not connected to my normal.dot because
even when I copy a new normal.dot to myself, I continue to have the problem.
Does anyone have a clue as to what I could have done to do this? Please reply

You are unable to add buttons or the buttons you add are not saved? If the

I cannot modify the menu bar (the toolbar containing File/ Edit / View etc)
in any way -- I cannot remove/edit custom buttons I put on it and I cannot
add new buttons.
