Default bold and italic sentences in document i dont want

i am typing a regular document block style, but when it prints it makes the
second line italic, 6th line bold, and there is a pattern to it. it doesnt
show up like this on the screen but i just when it prints. tried selecting
and changing font but new font still has these same lines italic or bold. i
am desperate. it's my xmas letter
